I'm installing a back up generator in my home. The installation included a manual transfer switch next to my main circuit panel in my basement. In addition, I had some fluorescent lights installed over my new shop workbench. I was very satisfied with the work, John Patrie always arrived on time, and completed the work quickly and easily, with no disruption to the family. He made several trips to my house and did not stop coming until we were completely certain that the installation was done correctly and would not disappoint us when the generator is needed during a blackout. I had a pretty serious lightning strike at my home in 2012, and called John the same night to see if he could advise me as to what to do next. He gave me advice that night and was over early the next morning to access the damage and help give me some direction as I was not sure what to do next. He calmed me down and checked the property for damage and quickly put together a quote for the insurance company to send right in so the process of repair could be started. Throughout the whole process John was always a phone call away and supportive while we waited for the insurance company to move forward. If you're looking for an electrician who really cares about his customers, call John Patrie. He has come to my home a number of times over the years, and his work is excellent. He is very thorough and careful, and his services are reasonably priced. I recently had a problem with a kitchen light fixture. He not only got the light working again, but he showed me that the valence over the window was too close to the light and in danger of catching fire. I had never noticed it. Had I called some other electrician, he probably would have charged me an arm-and-a-leg and never bothered to mention the fire hazard. I keep John's name and number on my fridge. I would never consider calling anyone else for an electrical problem.

We moved to RI in 2005. We had bought our first home. We needed some electrical work done, and had received a word of mouth recommendation of the highest kind to seek out John Patrie. We did so. John took a look at what we wanted to have done and also informed us that our new home was in dire need of electrical work to be code compliant and safe. After showing us and explaining to us in great detail what we needed to have done, John not only worked out a schedule and plan for our initial electrical work request but also for what was to become a major rewiring of our new home. Whenever I have any electrical projects in the house, my first call is to John Patrie, and here is why you should do the same: John is punctual, cordial, polite, and tidy. John has never said to me, "I can't do that" -- he always finds a way to exceed my expectations. John's work is flawless, and he wipes his feet at the door, which is more than I can say for a lot of electricians. His rates are extremely competitive, and we are able to communicate quite effectively via Email. I've lost count on how many projects John has completed at my house, but they have included recessed lighting, many electrical outlets, both inside and outside, as well as pendant lighting in the kitchen. Several of my neighbors have asked for electrician references, and I always tell them to call John Patrie!
